Chairman of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan​

He was born in 1971 in Almaty.
In 1993 he graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh State National University. In 2016 – Tufts University, Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (USA). Candidate of Political Sciences. Master of International Relations.
After graduating from the University in 1993-1994, he worked in the system of the Ministry of Press and Mass Media.
1994-1995 — Assistant to the Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From June to November 1995 — Consultant to the staff of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In the period from 1995 to 1999, he worked as a senior expert, head of the sector, first deputy head of the Center for Analysis and Strategic Studies of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
1999-2000 — Head of the Analytical Center of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2000-2002 — Head of the Analytical Center of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan — Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
