"Representing the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly as an observer at the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation is a great honour and responsibility. As for the turnout of voters, at the polling station at the Consulate General of the Russia in Brest it is quite high. People are coming in good spirits and yet with a serious attitude, because Russia's future depends largely on the outcome of these elections," the observer said.
He noted that both young people and older generation are participating in the voting actively.
"The voting is going smoothly, in line with established procedures. The elections are fully transparent, openly monitored and accessible for observers," Aleksandr Korkotadze said.
Additionally, a meeting took place at the polling station between CSTO PA observers and Oleg Murashov, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Brest. During the talks, the parties discussed the importance of today's event, stressing the significance of active participation of citizens in voting.
