Anatoly Vyborny: “At a meeting of the CSTO PA Standing Commission on Defence and Security, we considered the challenges of cooperation of the CSTO Member States to combat terrorism, cybercrime and illicit drug and weapon trafficking”
Anatoly Vyborny, Chairman of the Standing Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, held a remote meeting of the Standing Commission on Defence and Security of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
The meeting addressed topical issues of ensuring international, collective and national security.
“First of all, we discussed issues affecting the priorities of the Russian Federation during its presidency of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in 2020. At the same time, we considered a number of model laws, recommendations and other enactments that are directly related to ensuring collective security in the area of countering terrorism, cybercrime and illegal drug and weapon trafficking.
By developing these draft documents, we are completing the first part of the five-year 2016–2020 CSTO PA Action Plan on Approximation and Harmonization of National Legislation of the CSTO Member States,” said Anatoly Vyborny, Chairman of the CSTO PA Standing Committee on Defence and Security.
