CSTO base in Tajikistan strengthened with military equipment.
New Russian-made military equipment has arrived at the 201st military base in Tajikistan, according to the Central Military District press service.
Eight upgraded BMP-2M infantry fighting vehicles were delivered to the base. Panoramic sighting and observation devices which work like night vision devices in the dark were a useful innovation. These devices have been adapted to work in Tajikistan’s challenging climatic conditions. Similar foreign models cannot distinguish night targets in the mountainous terrain warmed up by the sun during the day.
In addition, the Akveduk radio system has been installed in new combat vehicles that is capable of operating under modern electronic warfare conditions.
Along with military equipment, two Ural-counted MTO-UB1 universal repair shops, a new armoured vehicle Tigr and three KAMAZ-mounted mobile kitchens were delivered to 201st base.
It should be noted that the CSTO is consistently strengthening its southern borders.
