Delegations from CSTO Countries Arrived in Moscow to Take Part in the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Meeting

On December 7, parliamentary delegations from the Member States of the Collective Security Treaty Organization arrived in Moscow to participate in the regular meeting of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.

The Russian capital welcomed representatives of the legislative bodies of Belarus, headed by Igor Sergeyenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, Kazakhstan, headed by Yerlan Koshanov, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic, and Tajikistan, headed by Faizali Idizoda, Speaker of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli. Shabdanbek Alishev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic to the CSTO PA, is taking part in the meeting on behalf of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan.

Tomorrow, on December 8, a joint meeting of the Council and the 18th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will be held in Moscow, chaired by Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma and Chairman of the CSTO PA.

The agenda of the meeting includes issues of harmonizing the legislation of the Organization's Member States and countering challenges and threats in the CSTO's area of responsibility.
