The Diplomatic Academy calls for entries to the Andrei Gromyko Competition for International-Affair Experts of the CIS on the CSTO issues
The Diplomatic Academy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation has started accepting entries to the Andrei Gromyko Competition for Young International-Affair Experts of the CIS. According to the website of the Academy, the competition is open for students and graduates of higher education institutions, postgraduates, academics, teachers, journalists, analysts, business experts, representatives of non-governmental organizations and diplomats from the CIS Member States under 40. Deadline for submission is 11:59 p.m. on May 12, 2022. The competition accepts original unpublished research articles and policy papers written by one or more authors (no more than 30,000 characters) on the analysis of international relations and integration projects in the post-Soviet region: Union State of Belarus and Russia, Eurasian Economic Union, CIS, CSTO, conflict risks and collective security enhancement tools in Eurasia. Topics include:
– Cultural and educational ties as an integration-building resource;
– The Great Patriotic War in the history of international relations: issues of historical memory preservation and distortion;
– Historical foundations of the unity of Russia and Belarus (due to the Year of Historical Memory in the Republic of Belarus);
– Sanctions as an instrument of geopolitics: issues of legitimacy and methods of counteraction;
– Interference in the national affairs of the sovereign states in the CIS region;
– Andrei Gromyko’s diplomatic legacy;
– “After the pandemic:” national problems and integration solutions;
– Role of the United Nations, its past and future in international relations;
