Elvira Surabaldieva: Our Common Goal Is to Strengthen the Single Security Space

On October 15, a visiting session of the Coordination Meeting of Chairpersons of Committees (Commissions) on Defense and Security of the Parliaments of the CSTO Member States under the CSTO PA Council took place in Minsk. Elvira Surabaldieva, Chairwoman of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security, and Migration of the Jogorku Kenesh, represented the Kyrgyz Republic at the event.

She stressed Kyrgyzstan's commitment to strengthening interparliamentary cooperation and steadily building a single security space within the CSTO's area of responsibility.

"The Kyrgyz Republic firmly adheres to the course of deepening interparliamentary dialogue. Amid modern challenges, our key shared goal is to strengthen and consistently develop a single security space within the CSTO's area of responsibility. We can ensure stability in the region and effectively protect our states' interests only through close cooperation between the relevant committees and timely harmonization of the legal framework," Elvira Surabaldieva said, concluding her speech.
