General Assembly adopted a resolution on strengthening cooperation between UN and CSTO.

The General Assembly adopted a resolution on deepening cooperation between the UN and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
Authors of the resolution call on the specialized agencies of the UN system and the CSTO “to deepen cooperation and coordination” and to develop direct contacts in areas of mutual interest.
The two organizations are encouraged to increase interaction in the field of peacekeeping. The resolution also calls on the UN and CSTO Secretary Generals to continue regular consultations within the framework of bilateral meetings and various forums.
