CSTO Secretary General Stressed the Importance of Consolidated Work on Implementing the Priorities of Russia's Chairmanship
On January 12, a meeting was held at the CSTO Secretariat. According to the Secretariat's Telegram channel, Aleksandr Pankin, Russian deputy Foreign Minister, participated in the meeting.
CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov, who took office on January 1, 2026, stressed the importance of consolidated work on implementing the priorities of the Russian chairmanship, aimed at strengthening allied ties and the role of the CSTO in shaping the architecture of equal and indivisible security in Eurasia.
In turn, Aleksandr Pankin underlined that Russia will join forces with its allies to promote common approaches to solving international security problems, including building the capacity of the Collective Forces. Emphasis will also be placed on strengthening analytical work based on the expertise of leading research centers in the Organization's countries. On behalf of the Russian Federation, Aleksandr Pankin congratulated Taalatbek Masadykov on his appointment as CSTO Secretary General and wished him success, expressing confidence in fruitful cooperation and all-round support.
