CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov and CSTO PA Executive Secretary Sergei Pospelov Discuss Cooperation in the Parliamentary Sphere

On January 19, Taalatbek Masadykov, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, and Sergei Pospelov, Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, held a meeting in Moscow.

At the first meeting between the newly appointed Secretary General of the Organization and the Executive Secretary of the CSTO PA, the parties discussed the priorities for implementing the Russian Federation's strategy and action plans within the framework of the country's chairmanship of the CSTO in 2026, as well as the organization of events marking the 20th anniversary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.

They also discussed the CSTO PA Model Legislation Program for 2026-2030, adopted at the meeting of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly on December 8, as the basis for legal support for the implementation of the decisions of the Collective Security Council, i.e. the heads of the CSTO Member States.

In addition, the importance of cooperation in the parliamentary sphere and improving the effectiveness of coordination between secretariats was underlined.
