On May 18, ahead of the CSTO PA Council session in Minsk, heads of parliamentary delegations of the CSTO Member States met with Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus. They went from the Palace of Independence to the Victory Monument where they laid flowers and a wreath at the obelisk.
The monument, a quadrangular obelisk 38 metres tall, is one of the symbols of the Belarusian capital. It completes the ensemble of Victory Square.
