CSTO Heads of State Congratulate Women on International Women’s Day

March 8 is one of the favourite holidays in all CSTO Member States.

Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia, congratulated women by reciting a poem by renowned Armenian poet Hovhannes Shiraz about spring.

Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, thanked women for their mother’s commitment.

“It is the unselfish love of mothers, big hearts of women and their inexhaustible energy that is a bedrock of everything on our planet,” the Belarusian leader said.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, called the role of women a decisive one. During a gala meeting in Astana, he noted that it is mothers’ upbringing that determines the future of a nation.

“Dear women! On this wonderful spring holiday, I would like to especially note your contribution to the socio-economic development of the state. You teach the younger generation to love the Motherland, to be honest and decent persons,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed.

According to Sadyr Japarov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, March 8 is always celebrated in a special way, in a pleasant and unique atmosphere.

“I especially admire the generation of our mothers who give us their boundless love, care, support and patience. And our sisters and daughters who, holding and preserving the warmth of motherhood, carry the purity of womanhood and continue the way of mothers. It has been rightly said from time immemorial that a mother shakes the cradle with one hand and the universe with the other,” said Mr Japarov.

Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, said in his congratulations that women make the world a better and kinder place thanks to their sensitivity, compassion and generosity of their hearts. 

“Today sincere words of admiration and gratitude go to wives, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, daughters and friends for your loyalty, reliability and support, come what may,” the Russian leader said. 

Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, said that “it is everyone’s duty to love mothers, all women, who are the light in our homes, the keepers of warmth in our hearths; to appreciate their daily work and sleepless nights over cradles; to try to ensure that our mothers, all women and girls are always healthy, happy and joyful.”

Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, also congratulated all women on the International Women’s Day. 

“You make the world a beautiful place. You inspire men to feats and achievements. You create warmth and comfort in the home. You give life to us and our children,” wrote Vyacheslav Volodin in his Telegram channel.
