The meeting of Foreign Ministers of the CSTO Member States was held on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reports.
“The Foreign Ministers of the CSTO states “compared their notes” on pressing issues of interaction... The ministers exchanged views on relevant issues of the 79th session of the UNGA and discussed priority areas of cooperation between the UN and the CSTO,” the message said.
During the meeting, Murat Nurtleu, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, informed his colleagues about the position of his state on the CSTO activities in the context of Astana's current chairmanship in the Organization. He also shared his vision of further development of the regional structure.
Traditionally, the meeting of ministers was held in a friendly atmosphere, the parties confirmed their commitment to the development of further mutually beneficial cooperation between the CSTO and the United Nations.
