Russian State Duma and Kazakh Mazhilis will expand interparliamentary cooperation
Nurlan Nigmatulin, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Aleksandr Zhukov, first deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma, discussed the expansion of Kazakh-Russian interparliamentary cooperation, as reported by Kazinform news agency with reference to the press service of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the agency, they talked, in particular, about strengthening cooperation within the framework of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and the IPA CIS.
According to Nurlan Nigmatulin, the practical nature of model laws, recommendations and interparliamentary events will contribute to solving current urgent issues.
Speaking of the cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia during the 30 years of independence, the interlocutors emphasized the historical role of the First President – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev in the development of bilateral relations.
According to the Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the parliaments also contribute to the expansion of the strategic Kazakh-Russian partnership achieved thanks to the leadership of the two countries.
