International Observer Group from the CSTO PA Arrived in Bishkek

On November 27, international group of observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization arrived in Bishkek.

As you may recall, according to the decision of Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a group of international observers from the CSTO PA was formed to monitor the preparation and conduct of early parliamentary elections in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Snezhanna Imasheva, Chairperson of the Committee on Legislation and Judicial and Legal Reform of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be the coordinator of the CSTO PA group.

Observers from the CSTO PA will monitor the preparation and conduct of the early elections of deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, which will take place on November 30. During the visit, a number of official meetings with the heads of the highest state authorities and election management bodies are to take place.

On election day, November 30, CSTO PA international observers will monitor the elections at polling stations in Bishkek from the moment they open until the end of the vote count, following their individual routes.
