CSTO PA Group of Observers Will Monitor the Referendum on the Adoption of a New Constitution in Kazakhstan
Yermek Kosherbayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, invited representatives of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly to participate in international observation of the upcoming referendum on the adoption of the country's new Constitution.
"Kazakhstan will make every effort to ensure that the referendum is conducted transparently, in accordance with national legislation and international obligations," the invitation letter states.
An observation group consisting of parliamentarians from CSTO Member States is to be formed in the nearest future.
As you may recall, on February 11, 2026, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, signed a decree on holding a Republican referendum on the adoption of a new Constitution of Kazakhstan on March 15, 2026.
