Imangali Tasmagambetov Awarded the Medal of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly

On Monday, December 8, a joint meeting of the Council and the 18th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held, chaired by Vyacheslav Volodin.

Imangali Tasmagambetov, CSTO Secretary General, outlined the results of the Organization's current work.

"In the year of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, our states once again advocate for a comprehensive dialogue aimed at strengthening peace and security in accordance with the principles and goals of the UN Charter," the CSTO Secretary General emphasized. 

🇰🇿Imangali Tasmagambetov pointed out that in 2025, Member States of the Organization held a series of commemorative events aimed at preserving the memory of the feat of our peoples in 1941-1945 and passing it on to the younger generation.

"Preserving and objectively conveying the historical truth about World War II is a necessary step for preventing the recurrence of such tragedies and strengthening peace, security and cooperation," Imangali Tasmagambetov noted.

At the meeting in Moscow, the CSTO Secretary General was awarded the Assembly's medal "For Strengthening Parliamentary Cooperation within the CSTO."
