The CSTO Collective Forces are preparing for three military exercises at the Edelweiss training range in the Kyrgyz Republic. The contingents of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan will participate in the exercises, reports the CSTO Joint Staff.
The command-and-staff exercise "Vzaimodeistvie – 2024" is aimed at practicing the preparation and conduct of a joint operation to resolve an armed conflict. During the special exercise "Poisk – 2024", the participants will train the organization and conduct of reconnaissance for the CSTO СRRF. During the special exercise "Echelon – 2024", they will train the organization of logistical support.
Also in Tajikistan, a joint exercise "Rubezh-2024" with units of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region will take place at the Kharb-Maidon training range. Contingents from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan will have to practice joint actions to destroy illegal armed groups that have invaded the territory of a CSTO Member State.
A command-and-staff exercise "Nerushimoye bratstvo – 2024" with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces will be held in Kazakhstan. The exercise at the "Bereg" training range envisages practicing the preparation and conduct of a peacekeeping operation by the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces, as well as the post-conflict settlement.
