Heads of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Member States are taking part in the meeting of the Council of the Heads of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States.
Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia, Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of Belarus, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, Sadyr Japarov, President of Kyrgyzstan, Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, and Imangali Tasmagambetov, CSTO Secretary General, have met in the Chinese city of Tianjin at the SCO summit, which is taking place from August 31 to September 1.
More than 20 foreign leaders and representatives of 10 international organizations are attending the event.
As part of the summit, commemorations will be held to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory over militaristic Japan in World War II.
