CSTO Leaders Express Condolences Over Terrorist Attacks in Russia
CSTO Leaders have expressed deep condolences and condemned the series of terrorist attacks that took place in Makhachkala and Derbent on the evening of June 23.
Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia, sent a telegram to Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, expressing his condolences over the terrorist attacks in Dagestan. The head of the Armenian government condemned the actions of the terrorists.
Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of Belarus, expressed confidence that all those responsible for this crime would be identified and punished.
Kazakhstan offered Russia assistance in investigating the terrorist attacks in Dagestan. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, emphasized that Kazakhstan strongly condemns this anti-human act and supports the development of multilateral cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
Sadyr Japarov, President of Kyrgyzstan, wished "courage to the families and loved ones of the victims," as well as a speedy recovery to those injured in the tragedy.
Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, condemned the inhuman act of violence in Dagestan and promoted active cooperation in the fight against terrorism, both bilaterally and within international and regional structures, which Tajikistan and Russia are members of.
According to initial reports, the number of victims of terrorist attacks in Dagestan has risen to 19 people. In Makhachkala, 10 policemen and a temple guard were killed, in Derbent – five policemen and an Orthodox priest.
