Delegation of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan to the CSTO PA consists of 6 deputies of the National Assembly of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan and 6 deputies of the Assembly of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan.
On September 22 as part of the CSTO mission, Stanislav Zas, CSTO Secretary General, held a meeting with the commanders of the Armenian Armed Forces’ units deployed at the line of contact in the border region Vaynadzor.
Stanislav Zas met with representatives of local authorities, inspected areas that were shelled and talked to servicemen who participated in combat actions.
The CSTO mission headed by the Organization’s Secretary General arrived in Armenia in accordance with the decision of the extraordinary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council of September 13. The mission consists of representatives of the CSTO Member Sates employed by the Organization’s working bodies.
The mission is tasked with assessing the current situation, preparing a detailed report on the situation in the region to the heads of the CSTO Member States and developing proposals on de-escalation of tensions in certain areas at the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
