On February 28, as part of monitoring the election campaign in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, international observers from the CSTO PA held meetings at the election headquarters of political parties participating in the parliamentary elections.
The observers met with leaders of the Party of Economic Reforms of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Agrarian Party of Tajikistan and the Socialist Party of the Republic.
Mashrab Faizullo, deputy Chairman of the Party of Economic Reforms, spoke about the course of the election campaign, pointing out that the necessary conditions had been created for the event. He also outlined principal theses of the electoral program of all the candidates included in the party's electoral list.
Together with the representatives of the parties, the participants of the observer group discussed the specifics of the current election campaign and working principles of the observation missions.
Rustam Latifzoda, Chairman of the Agrarian Party of Tajikistan, noted that the activities of international observers play an important role in ensuring truly open, transparent and free elections.
As you may recall, monitoring of the elections to the Majlisi Namoyandagon of Tajikistan started today. The group of observers from the CSTO PA includes parliamentarians of the Member States of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, headed by Sergei Rachkov, Chairman of the Standing Commission on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
