CSTO PA Observers Monitor the Opening of Polling Stations at the State Duma Elections

The CSTO PA international group of observers, led by Rustam Shokhmurod, representative of the Tajik Parliament, have begun monitoring the elections for deputies to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

On 18 September, the observer group started work as soon as the polling stations opened. The first station they visited on the opening day of voting was School № 1520, named after the Kaptsov brothers, in Moscow.

The observers were present throughout all preparatory procedures before voting began, including the checking and sealing of ballot boxes and the testing of equipment.

Rustam Shokhmurod, coordinator of the CSTO PA observer group, highlighted the high level of professional training shown by the election commission members.

The monitoring group is working not only in Moscow and the Moscow region, but also at polling stations abroad, in CSTO member states.
