CSTO PA Observers Praised the Work of Public Headquarters for Election Observation in Moscow

As part of their monitoring of the elections in Russia, CSTO PA international group of observers visited the Public Headquarters for Election Observation in Moscow and familiarized themselves with its work.

During the visit, MPs from CSTO member states and international experts examined the operations of the headquarters' key units, including the Video Surveillance Center, the incident analysis department and the electronic headquarters overseeing the remote electronic voting (REV) process.

Representatives of the CSTO PA mission praised the high level of technological support and transparency of the organized monitoring system.

The observers paid particular attention to the continuous live feed from polling stations in the capital displayed on the headquarters' video wall, the use of anonymization and encryption measures for electronic voting, and the mobile teams ready to promptly deploy to polling stations in case of potential violaton reports.

According to the assessment of the CSTO PA observers, the work of the Public Headquarters ensures independent, all-round monitoring of compliance with the citizens' electoral rights. The developed infrastructure makes it possible to maintain the transparency of the voting process, verify any incoming information promptly and guarantee that the electoral process complies with the high standards of democratic elections and the national legislation of the Russian Federation.

"We saw a transparent, well-coordinated system. It is particularly commendable that the headquarters not only monitors the cameras but also thoroughly reviews every report, with mobile teams ready to inspect polling stations. The observers are open, professional and ready to respond to every concern, which inspires complete confidence in the electoral process in the capital," said Rustam Shokhmurod, coordinator of the CSTO PA observer group.
