On November 16, the International Multimedia Press Centre of the Rossiya segodnya International Media Group hosted a briefing by Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff. The event took place in the format of a video bridge between Moscow, Yerevan, Minsk, Astana and Bishkek.
Anatoly Sidorov summarized the main results of the joint operational and strategic exercise Boyevoye bratstvo 2023.
Within the framework of this large-scale exercise in September-October 2023 in the Eastern European and Central Asian regions, the CSTO troops (Collective Forces) practiced various measures to prevent and resolve a military conflict and to ensure post-conflict settlement.
The Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff also summed up the main results of the General Staff activities to improve the military component of the Organization, to develop the collective security system, the Crisis Response Centre, military and technical cooperation and coordination of personnel training for the armed forces of the CSTO Member States.
During the briefing, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov said that international observers had also visited the autumn exercise.
“The final, most dynamic stages of the exercise were attended by observers, military attachés accredited on the territory of the state and other representatives of international organizations,” Anatoly Sidorov said.
