Natalia Kochanova: Interparliamentary Cooperation Between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan Reaches a New Level
On July 12, Natalia Kochanova, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of Belarus, met with Ermek Ibraimov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Belarus.
The parties noted that Belarus and Kyrgyzstan have good, friendly relations.
“We adhere to a peace-loving policy. Our interaction within such integration frameworks as IPA CIS and CSTO is very important. We want to become full members of the SCO and hope that this will happen soon. We thank you for your support in this direction,” said Natalia Kochanova.
The Belarusian speaker also noted that interparliamentary cooperation between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan is now reaching a new level. In autumn, a parliamentary delegation from the Kyrgyz Republic is expected in the country, which has already confirmed its official visit led by the chairman.
“I fully share your views on the acceleration of interparliamentary cooperation. We have a very fruitful and good year in this respect. Our delegation has already visited hospitable Belarus once this year. And we will visit Belarus again before the end of the year. Our delegation is preparing for the visit with great enthusiasm. There is a common understanding that interparliamentary cooperation is one of the components of bilateral cooperation between the states,” said Ermek Ibraimov.
As you may recall, the year 2023 marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states that are members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
