CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Executive Secretary held a number of meetings with ambassadors of the CSTO Member States and Assembly observers

Sergei Pospelov, Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, held a number of meetings with ambassadors of the CSTO Member States and CSTO PA observers.
Meetings were held with Vardan Toganian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Russian Federation; Miroslav Lazansky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Russian Federation; Homayoun Mohtaat, chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Russian Federation.
The meeting discussed the issues and the format of parliaments’ participation in the meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and in the plenary meeting of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the conversation with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Russian Federation, the parties discussed the issues related to the format of the session of the Coordination Meeting of the Chairpersons of Committees (Commissions) on Defence and Security of the Parliaments of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Member States under the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. In the conversation with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia, the parties discussed, among other issues, the participation of the delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in the plenary session of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
As you may recall, the Wolesi Jirga of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia are observers to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
