CSTO Parliamentarians Will Observe State Duma Elections

The Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization has received an official invitation to participate in the international observation of the upcoming parliamentary elections in the Russian Federation.

The invitation, addressed to Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the CSTO PA, was sent by Valentina Matvienko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, as part of the ongoing preparations for monitoring the election campaign.

The regular State Duma elections will take place in Russia from September 18 to September 20, 2026.

Along with the CSTO PA delegation, representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, the parliaments of the CIS and BRICS countries, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Arab Parliament, and a number of other international organizations have also been invited to participate in observing the elections.
