CSTO Parliamentarians Observe Military Exercises in Tajikistan
On October 24, participants of the Coordination Meeting of Chairpersons of Committees on Defence and Security of the CSTO Parliaments observe military exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Tajikistan.
At the Fakhrabad training ground, parliamentarians are watching the final stage of the Nerushimoye bratstvo-2025 and Barrier-2025 exercises.
Gennady Lepeshko, Chairman of the Coordination Meeting of Chairpersons of Committees on Defence and Security of the CSTO Parliaments, Chairman of the Standing Commission on National Security of the House of Representatives of Belarus, pointed out that the most difficult tasks are being successfully performed during the exercises.
"We are observing the final stage of the exercises. There is no showiness here, the participating units are demonstrating their combat skills. The special feature of the final stage is that units from CIS countries are participating as well, together with the CSTO peacekeepers. We have seen what the military personnel of our countries have learned in joint anti-terrorist operations. Everything is fair and transparent," said Gennady Lepeshko.
As you may recall, Nerushimoye bratstvo-2025 and Barrier-2025 military exercises involve more than 1,500 officers and soldiers of the military contingents of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan, as well as more than 200 units of military and special equipment, combat helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles.
