CSTO Parliamentarians Take Part in the Meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in Geneva

Delegation of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly is taking part in the meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in Geneva.

On October 19, parliamentarians attended the meeting of the Eurasia geopolitical group, discussing issues of compliance with humanitarian norms and humanitarian work support during crisis, as well as the results of the meetings of the IPU Executive Committee and the events of the 151st IPU Assembly.

In addition, Sergei Rachkov, Chairman of the Standing Commission on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, was re-elected as head of the Eurasia group at the meeting.

The Russian Federation, with the support of Kazakhstan, initiated a discussion on arms control and the prevention of a new arms race.

During the meeting, a "standard" resolution was adopted on "Recognition and support for victims of illegal international adoption and measures to prevent this practice."
