The CSTO International Conference On the Role and Character of Interaction of International and Regional Organizations in the Fight against International Terrorism starts today in Moscow.
The Conference is attended by representatives of the management of the Office of Counter-Terrorism and other relevant United Nations offices, OSCE, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), INTERPOL, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Eurasian Group on Combating Money-Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (EAG), the Executive Committee of the CIS, the CIS ATC, the SCO Secretariat and the SCO RATS, as well as CICMA.
Participants of the Conference include Sergei POSPELOV, Acting Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, Anatoly VYBORNY, Chairman of the Permanent Commission of the CSTO PA on Defence and Security and a member of the State Duma Committee on Security and Corruption Control, as well as Konstantin ZATULIN, a member of the Permanent Commission of the CSTO PA on Political Issues and International Cooperation, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots.
The conference agenda includes the issues of establishing international cooperation to ensure global security and discussion of the implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy.
