CSTO Permanent Ambassadors and Ambassadors of the Organization’s Members Meet with Sergei Lavrov

Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister, met with CSTO Ambassadors and Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representatives of CSTO Member States in Moscow on June 13, with Imangali Tasmagambetov, CSTO Secretary General, participating.

During the meeting further joint actions on a number of pressing international issues were discussed, as well as preparations for the meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers in Minsk and issues related to the day-to-day activities of the Organization and interaction of its working bodies with the CSTO Permanent Council.

As you may recall, meetings with permanent and plenipotentiary representatives of the CSTO Member States to the Collective Security Treaty Organization are held regularly. Aleksandr Grinevich, Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of Belarus to the CSTO, is the Chairman of the CSTO Permanent Council, as the Republic of Belarus holds CSTO presidency in 2023.

Interaction between the CSTO Secretariat and the Secretariat of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly is coordinated to the maximum extent possible and is carried out within the framework of the 2023–2024 joint action plan.
