CSTO PA Representatives Took Part in the ICT-Crime 26 Conference

An international conference on combating ICT crimes, ICT-CRIME 26, is taking place in St. Petersburg on July 23–25.

The expert forum annually brings together leading specialists, representatives of government agencies and international organizations to develop effective mechanisms for protecting digital space.

Vyacheslav Kocharyan, Advisor to the CSTO PA Secretariat, and Vladimir Kolotov, an expert of the Parliamentary Assembly and professor at St. Petersburg State University, took part in the forum. 

Representative of the CSTO PA Vyacheslav Kocharyan urged his colleagues to pay special attention to the Assembly’s model legislation.

He emphasized that, as of today, it comprises approximately 40 adopted and draft model laws and recommendations that fully cover various aspects of ensuring information security.

"Being a prime example of productive international cooperation, this legal framework makes a significant practical contribution to ensuring the technological sovereignty of the Member States of the Collective Security Treaty Organization," Vyacheslav Kocharyan pointed out.

The conference is focused on modern cyber threats and methods for countering them, protection of critical information infrastructure and strengthening international cooperation in the digital sphere, as well as the harmonization of relevant legislation.
