On March 17, Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, and Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, held talks in Moscow.
Along with a number of achievements in the framework of bilateral cooperation, Vladimir Putin paid special attention to Tajikistan's active work in the CSTO.
"We are working together on ensuring security in our space in the CSTO area of responsibility. Tajikistan plays an active role in the Organization,” Vladimir Putin noted.
In turn, Emomali Rahmon expressed satisfaction with the cooperation within the CSTO, the UN and the SCO.
The President of Russia underlined that discussing the current regional and global agenda with the Tajik leader “once again confirmed that our countries share similar views. Russia and Tajikistan are committed to the principles of the supremacy of international law, sovereignty and non-interference in the internal affairs."
