Crews of the Russian army aviation of the Southern Military District conducted training flights in mountainous terrain at a military base in Armenia, the press service of the Southern Military District reported.
The servicemen practiced skills of controlling multirole Mi-8MT helicopters in group flights in the dark. Training combat tasks were carried out using satellite navigation, infrared equipment and night vision devices.
The crews performed complex piloting maneuvers in high altitude, evading the attacks of the simulated enemy and suppressing its radar systems.
More than 150 servicemen of aviation and engineering units took part in the training flights, and more than 30 units of military and special equipment were involved.
