On October 7, Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council, celebrates his birthday.
As Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council, Vladimir Putin gives priority to systematically developing the Organization, strengthening allied ties among member states, and building up the capabilities of collective security forces and assets.
Within the CSTO, the Russian President has placed particular emphasis on uniting the efforts to counter modern challenges: international terrorism, extremism, illicit drug trafficking and cyber threats.
Under Vladimir Putin's leadership, the CTSO's legal framework and crisis response mechanisms continue improving steadily, with the Organization expanding foreign policy coordination among member states on the international stage.
Per tradition, on this day the Russian President receives congratulations from foreign leaders, political and public figures, as well as representatives of science, sports, culture, and the arts, and ordinary Russians.
