Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CSTO Parliaments Held the First Working Meeting

On January 17, the CSTO PA headquarters in St. Petersburg hosted the first working meeting in 2024 between Sergei Pospelov, Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, and plenipotentiary representatives of the parliaments of the CSTO member states.

In the course of the meeting they discussed the Schedule of the events of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in the first half of 2024 and the Draft Agenda of the Third Meeting of the Chairmen of the Committees (Commissions) of the Parliaments of the CSTO member states, whose jurisdiction includes international relations, defence, and security issues.

Besides, the parties discussed the Draft Work Program of the group of international observers from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly participating in the international monitoring of the preparation and holding of the elections to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the eighth convocation and local Councils of Deputies of the twenty-ninth convocation (February 25, 2024).
