Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have finalized the process of delineating the common border. “On December 4, 2024, Kamchybek Tashiyev and Saimumin Yatimov, co-chairmen of the Tajik-Kyrgyz government delegations for delimitation and demarcation of the state border, met in Batken.
During the meeting, they reached an agreement and finalized delineating the remaining sections of the border,” the Kyrgyz government press service announced. Mr. Tashiyev and Mr. Yatimov instructed the working groups of the delegations to start the process of finalizing documents on border delimitation.
As you may recall, the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan share the state border of 987 km. Negotiations on its delimitation have been held since December 2002.
