Motorized riflemen of the CSTO’s 201st base destroyed hypothetical militants in the mountains of Tajikistan during military exercises
During a tactical exercise in the mountains of the Republic of Tajikistan, servicemen of the 201st military base of the CSTO destroyed hypothetical militants who had offered resistance.
The press service of the Central Military District of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports that according to the exercise script, the enemy entered the area of the Lyaur firing range, took dominant ground and went on the defensive.
Motorized-rifle units were ordered to use BTR-82A armored personnel carriers to attack and destroy firing positions of the illegal militant group.
Motorized riflemen were supported by the T-72 tank crews, which delivered surgical strikes to the fortified firing positions of the “militants.”
During the exercise, portable anti-tank systems Fagot with semi-automatic missile targeting were used to destroy “jihad-mobiles” and other armoured vehicles of the hypothetical enemy.
The Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles were used for real-time fire adjustment.
According to Rossiyskaya gazeta, the exercise went on for two days, with over 600 servicemen participating and over 80 pieces of military and specialized equipment used.
