Polling Stations Opened in Kazakhstan in the Presence of CSTO PA Observers
On March 15, polling stations opened in Kazakhstan at 7:00 sharply local time. The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly group of observers is monitoring the voting process from the very beginning.
A total of 10,401 polling stations opened across the country, including 622 special stations. They are situated in military units, maternity clinics, medical facilities and other organizations.
12,461,796 citizens of the Republic registered to vote at the referendum.
The referendum is being monitored by 359 foreign observers from 38 countries and 11 international organizations.
Voting in Kazakhstan will continue as scheduled until 20:00. CSTO Parliamentary Assembly observers will keep monitoring the process throughout the day, until the polls close in Astana and the Akmola region.
