Consultations of the Press Services of the CSTO Foreign Ministries Took Place in Moscow
On December 22, consultations between the heads of the information departments of the foreign ministries of the CSTO Member States were held at the CSTO Secretariat.
The participants exchanged views on practical cooperation between the press services of the foreign ministries.
Yuri Shuvalov, Head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the CSTO Secretariat, pointed out that it is important to improve the effectiveness of analysis and forecasting in the CSTO area of responsibility. He said that to achieve this goal, it is necessary to consolidate expert capacity to boost the quality of monitoring, analysis, assessment, and forecasting of the situation in the CSTO area of responsibility in the context of contemporary challenges and threats.
Natalia Kharitonova, CSTO Secretariat Press Secretary, focused on the Organization's current information and analytical work, the prospects of Russia's chairmanship of the CSTO next year, and the Organization's place in the new international security system in Eurasia.
Natalia Romanova, Head of the CSTO PA Press Service, in her speech emphasized the importance of coordinating information work between the Organization's departments and encouraged her colleagues to plan ahead for the coverage of the CSTO PA's anniversary in 2026.
As you may recall, on November 16, 2026, the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly will celebrate its 20th anniversary.
"For us, this is not just a special date, but also a good opportunity to recall the Assembly's contribution to strengthening collective security and the work of our countries' deputies and experts on model laws and coordinating positions on key issues on the international agenda," Natalia Romanova pointed out.
