On March 27, the headquarters of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in St. Petersburg will host meetings of the Assembly's permanent commissions.
At the meeting of the CSTO PA Permanent Commission on Defence and Security, it is expected to discuss the draft Recommendations on Harmonization of the CSTO Member States' Legislation on Digital Signatures to Ensure Information Security, Recommendations on Harmonization of the Criminal Legislation Penalizing Crimes Against Military Service, on Regulation of the Internet and on Creating and Using Big Data to Ensure National Security.
Commission members Sergei Kolbin (Federation Council) and Anton Antopolsky (Plekhanov Russian University of Economics) will report on the work on the draft Recommendations on the Elaboration of General Principles of the Development of National Legislation Regulating the Creation of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics to Ensure National Security.
The CSTO PA Permanent Commission on Political Affairs and International Cooperation will study the results of the participation of international observation groups from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in the preparation and holding of the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Belarus and the presidential elections in Russia, will hear reports on the results of the meeting in the OSCE PA, the results of the 148th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva and other international events.
The agenda of the Permanent Commission on Socio-Economic and Legal Affairs includes a report on the work on the draft Concept of Migration Security of the CSTO Member States, a report on the work on the draft Recommendations on Harmonization of National Legislation in the Field of Combating Illegal Migration, as well as a number of working issues.
The day before, on 26 March, there will be meetings of the CSTO PA Council’s Expert Advisory Board and of the CSTO PA Legal Centre for Information and Analysis.
