On July 11-12, the Tavrichesky Palace in St. Petersburg hosts the 10th BRICS Parliamentary Forum. Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the CSTO PA and Chairman of the State Duma, arrived in the Northern Capital to take part in the forum.
At the forum sessions, parliamentarians will discuss the following issues:
✔ The role of parliaments in increasing the efficiency of the international relations system and ensuring its democratization;
✔ Countering the fragmentation of the multilateral trading system and the consequences of global crises;
✔ Aspects of inter-parliamentary cooperation in humanitarian and cultural spheres.
"Today begins the X BRICS Parliamentary Forum, together with colleagues from different countries, we will discuss suggestions and initiatives that should help improve the quality of life of citizens of the BRICS Member States," Vyacheslav Volodin wrote in his Telegram channel.
In 2024, BRICS is chaired by the Russian Federation.
