Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed the withdrawal of the CSTO contingent from Kazakhstan
Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, had a telephone conversation with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to kremlin.ru, the President of Kazakhstan updated Vladimir Putin on the measures for the final restoration of law and order in Kazakhstan, considering the effective actions of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces.
He extended special gratitude for the help and support of the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan’s strategic partner and ally in the CSTO. The two leaders also discussed matters related to the start of a coordinated withdrawal of the CSTO Member States’ contingents from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
