CSTO Troops Heading to Kyrgyzstan to Take Part in the Rubezh-2025 Exercises
The CSTO troops are relocating to the Kyrgyz Republic to participate in the Rubezh-2025 exercises.
A command-and-staff exercise will be held at the Edelweiss training centre and in the waters of Lake Issyk-Kul, aimed at practicing the preparation and conduct of CRDF CAR combat operations in the event of illegal armed groups invading the territory of a CSTO Member State.
Alisher Erbayev, deputy Chairman of the Committee on Law and Order, Combating Crime and Counteraction to Corruption of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, member of the CSTO PA Permanent Commission on Defence and Security, stressed the importance of this event.
"Rubezh-2025 military exercises are important for strengthening the collective security of the CSTO Member States. Joint actions and training once again demonstrate the unity of the CSTO's Collective Forces and the readiness to respond effectively to modern challenges and threats, ensuring stability in the region," Alisher Erbayev underlined.
According to the CSTO Secretariat, the CRDF CAR, formed in 2001 on the basis of a decision by the CSTO Collective Security Council, include units and subunits of the armed forces on permanent alert, equipped with modern weapons and military equipment. The main tasks of the CRDF CAR involve participating in repelling external military aggression and conducting joint counter-terrorism operations.
