A Joint Session of the Houses of Parliament of Kazakhstan Was Held on 20 June

A joint session of the Houses of Parliament of Kazakhstan was held in Astana today. It was opened by Yerlan Koshanov, Chairman of the Mazhilis and member of the CSTO PA Council.

The joint meeting considered the following issues:

– on the message of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan On the State of Constitutional Legitimacy in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

– on approval of reports of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan concerning the implementation of the 2022 State Budget;

– On the Parliamentary Commission on Monitoring of Implementation of National Goals and Tasks in the Area of Sustainable Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- On draft Constitutional Law of Kazakhstan On Making Amendments and Addenda to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Prosecutor's Office" (first reading).

As you may recall, the previous joint session of the houses of Parliament was held on March 16. On it, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, has presented the new programme of political reforms.
