August 22 Is the Day of the State Flag of the Russian Federation

Today, on August 22, Russia celebrates National Flag Day. This day is dedicated to the symbol of national unity and sovereignty of the country.

Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the CSTO PA, congratulated his compatriots.

"The flag of the Russian Federation is a banner of victories, development, and prosperity. It symbolizes the consolidation of Russian citizens, loyalty to spiritual and moral values and traditions, and commitment to historical memory. It symbolizes being proud of our country and its achievements. Happy National Flag Day, everyone!" Vyacheslav Volodin wrote in his MAX channel.

Today, 400 three-colored balloons will fly into the sky above Moscow, and the Heart to People patriotic festival will take place, as well as many other events.
