July 3 Is Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus

On July 3, Belarus celebrates one of the main state holidays - Independence Day. In 2024, it is also an anniversary: it will mark 80 years since the liberation of the country from the Nazi invaders.

The parade of servicemen and military equipment will become the most spectacular event of today's holiday. The victory march will be held near the Minsk – Hero City monument. About six thousand servicemen and 250 units of military equipment will take part in the march.

Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation arrived in Minsk to participate in the celebrations. He congratulated the people of Belarus and President Aleksandr Lukashenko in particular on the holiday.

"Let me convey to you the kindest and the warmest congratulations on the main state holiday of Belarus on behalf of our President Vladimir Putin. And, of course, I would like to congratulate you on the day that unites us all – the Day of Liberation of Minsk from Nazi invaders," said Vyacheslav Volodin.

Representatives of all CSTO Member States have arrived in Minsk. International delegations and representatives of 21 countries will take part in the celebrations.
