According to this historic document, the Kyrgyz Republic became an independent, sovereign and democratic state.
Sadyr Japarov, President of Kyrgyzstan, congratulated Kyrgyz people on the holiday at the national flag raising ceremony at the Ala-Too central square.
“I congratulate you all on the great day of the nation with all my heart – happy Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic! May our sovereignty never be threatened! May the development of Kyrgyzstan keep reaching new heights, and may our red flag always fly proudly!”, said the President.
