Tajikistan celebrates Independence Day on September 9. It is established by the republican law on Holiday Days as amended on May 22, 1998.
Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, congratulated Tajik leader Emomali Rahmon on the holiday and noted that strengthening ties between the two countries is in the interests of their peoples and contributes to security in Central Asia.
“Relations between Russia and Tajikistan are built on the principles of strategic partnership and alliance. Fruitful bilateral cooperation in various spheres is expanding, coordination of efforts within the CIS, CSTO, SCO and other multilateral structures is yielding good results,” Vladimir Putin stressed.
Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, congratulated Tajikistanis on the 32nd anniversary of the country’s State Independence.
“I congratulate the glorious nation of Tajikistan and compatriots abroad on the 32nd anniversary of the sacred and great holiday of the State Independence, I wish joy, peaceful life and prosperity for every home in the country,” Emomali Rahmon said.
